The capital city, Santa Clara, is closely linked to the figure of Ernesto Che Guevara. The city receives lots of visitors to see the memorial made in his honor, in which are the corps of himself and his war partners of the guerilla in Bolivia.

Other attractions of the city are Cayo Santa María, baptized as the white rose of the Gardens of the king, with great beaches of fine sand, clear waters and appealing sea bottoms, inviting to the practice of diving and underwater photography.

In the northern keys of Villa Clara lovers of ecotourism and speleology will find tempting offers. Form there excursions are planned to the nearby beacon at Caimán Grande and to the San Pascual floating hotel.

Don’t forget visiting San Juan de los Remedios city, called the 8th villa whose historic center was declared a national monument; or Santa Clara, provincial capital, full of history, culture and hospitality.

Part of the Escambray mountain range is in Villa Clara, and this makes it wonderful for ecotourism. There are also, to the north, famous thermal and minero medicinal waters at Elguea, which also attracts many tourists interested in improving their quality of life.
